Valerie Murrell, Head of CCH Software

“I have worked with Lesley Muir on a number of projects and she has always given an excellent service. In particular she has the ability to master the brief in terms of the important commercial imperatives rapidly and comes back quickly with well thought out and practical advice and initiatives. Her suggestions are not superficial but support the underlying objectives of the business - almost like an owner. Lesley is very tenacious and works hard to deliver what she has promised on time and to budget.”
Charles Liasides, Chairman Arcanum Quest Ltd

Rebekah Renton, Publisher & Editor, Be-Unlimited

Yvette van Braam Morris, LTRE Communications Manager Wolters Kluwer

“I have worked with Lesley for two years. In that time she has created a PR strategy for the CCH brand and executed a series of campaigns that have helped us to achieve our goal of building reputation and trust. She quickly developed an excellent understanding of the accountancy market and the key drivers within it, which she focused on to help us achieve our strategic aims and tactical targets.”
John Prettyman, Marketing Manager, CCH

“Someone we can always bank on. Flexible, results-driven and creative……She clearly knows her business!”
Ben Geysen, Managing Director, NewsEngine

Lesley's insight and drive enabled Wolters Kluwer UK to move PR from an inconvenient, unsuccessful channel to a critical tool, focused on moving our market position in line with our corporate objectives. Lesley created a comprehensive strategy in line with the business direction that was built on an extensive knowledge of her field. The tactical delivery of this strategy was varied due to the needs of the organization however there are two key projects where we continue to measure the benefits. With a focus on thought leadership Lesley completed some excellent work with the London School of Economics (LSE) on ageism. This report exemplified the real benefit we, as a business, could expect from effective PR. Access to the report generated interest through our traditional marketing channels and therefore generated direct revenue and the content and timing of the report positioned us strongly with key journalists, creating a noticeable increase in media interest - I would regard this as a key turning point in our rewards through the PR channel. Lesley has also established some strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes which showed the breadth of her marketing knowledge and her ability to recognise commercial opportunities. These programmes are continuing to prove a successful source of media interest and have had positive impacts on the internal culture of the organisation. I am extremely grateful for all the hard work and insight Lesley has provided and would not hesitate to recommend her."
Alex Bates, Corporate Marketing Manager, Wolters Kluwer UK

“I've worked with Lesley on a number of projects and have always found her to be highly competent, energetic and intelligent in her approach. She is good at coming up with ideas, but also possesses the ability to distil the most workable ones and transform them into good news and features material.”
Chris Quick, editor, Accountancy

“Unlike many PR people, Lesley Muir offers a rare combination of understanding and helpfulness. Not only does she take the time to acquaint herself with the technologies of her clients, but she appreciates that journalists don’t want reams of incomprehensible PR puff and techno-speak, but pointers to the big picture stories that underline the technology.”
Richard Poynder, FT-IT journalist

“As a busy freelance writing for a wide range of very different publications, what I want from a PR is simply straightforward answers, access to the relevant people and research and a quick, efficient turnaround. Lesley does all that and is also a pleasure to work with.”
Nic Paton, freelance journalist

“It’s always good to hear from Lesley. She does a great job for her clients. She knows what I want, understands how I work and makes my job easier. What more could I want from PR?”
Richard Donkin, Financial Times

“As a journalist with a close working relationship with Lesley Muir, I find her quick to respond to requests and relevant and concise in the information she gives me. Lesley always illustrates a clear knowledge and understanding of our publication and its readership. One of her clients is a key industry company I cover regularly, and it's important for us to receive news about them before it reaches the general press. In this respect, Lesley is keenly aware of our deadlines and works hard at meeting them.”
Justin Pearce Deputy Editor, New Media Age
